Amping up for my trip back to Scandinavia so much to do so little time. Hopefully two weeks is enough time to see Norway, Sweden and maybe Denmark.
Heres a photo of me at the @vikingvalley.no Festival a beautiful place called Gudvangen where babies raise their cups to the roar of “skål!!” Where everyone crafts, from jewelry to wood working, Nålbinding to black smithing, truly the most inspiring place i have ever visited, so close to the sky you can almost shout up to the gods on top the mountain.
Really appreciate everyones patience and understanding that artisan made items take time to create, leather in a lot of ways is very unforgiving a single miss strike of the hammer or hell even a too long finger nail gently touching the wet surface can ruin the thing before its dried and cured. I work as fast as i humanely can with 6 years of professional leather work under my belt. So i think the next time i get a complaint for taking to long i will challenge the person to make the item faster then me and just as nice haha hell i would probably offer them a job if they were able to do it!
Officially back from our weekend event, unpacked and orders are now flying out the door again! I wanted to share a bit of the madness of events this was a Slow day right before jousting but it was such a fun event as always. Some highlights for me at the @sonora_celtic_faire is always Welsh cakes, Meat pies and the real jousting/mele is always a treat.
